Handwoven on a traditional backstrap loom with heirloom brown cotton, this pillow carries fine, textured lines of wild white cotton, creating a deep terracotta tone with subtle contrast. Inspired by tradition, its design was born as a master weaver taught her granddaughter how to weave lines into the fabric—a piece that carries story, heritage, and timeless beauty.

Each pillow is made to order by our artisans. Please allow 6–8 weeks for your piece to be handwoven and delivered.

Message from our Founder

No pillow is ever the same. The lines, created with the brocade technique, are placed without a fixed pattern. When I visited the artisans in Mexico, I watched Carolina, a master weaver, teaching her granddaughter these simple lines. I love how this moment of heritage shapes each pillow—unique, creative, and alive with tradition. The irregular rhythm of the brocade also gives the design a modern, organic elegance.

Craftsmanship

The cotton is hand-harvested, hand-spun, and handwoven in Mexico on a traditional backstrap loom. Assembled in Mexico with brass zipper.

Heirloom colored cotton

Heirloom cotton from Mexico grows in permaculture fields, intercropped with bananas, coffee trees, and avocados. Naturally rain-fed and cultivated without pesticides, it follows regenerative agricultural practices that nurture biodiversity and restore the soil. Because it is dye-free, its soft shades of white and brown are the raw colors of the cotton as it grows on the tree.

Ancestral Craft

Each fiber is hand-harvested, hand-spun, and woven on a traditional backstrap loom, an ancestral technique practiced for centuries. This knowledge, passed down through generations of women, is not only about making fabric—it is about preserving memory, rhythm, and identity in cloth.

Nature’s Signature

Because the cotton is left in its natural state, no two pieces are ever identical.

The interplay of wild fibers, irregular texture, and handwoven structure gives each pillow a tactile richness and subtle variation that machines cannot replicate. The result is more than a home accent, it is a one-of-a-kind work of design, where nature and tradition converge in something both timeless and exceptional.
