Origins is a collection of six pillows, handwoven with rare heirloom cotton from Mexico, grown in its natural color. Harvested only in small quantities each year, this cotton is unruly, precious, and deeply tied to the land and the Indigenous weavers who transform it. Rain-Fed Cotton
The Indigenous farmers we collaborate with practice regenerative agriculture, and grow cotton the same way their ancestors did. Heirloom colored-cotton usually grows in small crops of corn and coffee in Central America, and does not require additional water or pesticides. These ancestral fibers are resilient and 100% rain-fed and therefore have a very minimal impact on the environment. It is hand-harvested, hand-spun and hand-woven. Colors may vary from a harvest to another, and products may show nuances because no two cotton bolls are the exact same tone.
